Paper Abstract:
|
This research was aimed to develop a 3 dimensional Real Time Strategy (RTS) online game to learn about resource management entitled Kingdom of The Earth in Second Life network and to evaluate the quality of the program by experts and to determine the satisfaction of the sampling group towards the game. This game contained characters to operate the game and to control resource management. The game development process was as follows: (a) Brainstorming and designing the game system; (b) Making the raw materials such as element balls, control screen, and sound effects before coding the program as designed; (c) Evaluating the game by the experts in terms of quality before revision. It was evaluated and revised for 3 times and the final evaluation showed that the average score was 4.31 or at good level; (d) Testing with the sampling group. The satisfaction of the sampling group was 4.54 on average or at very good level. Therefore, it could be concluded that the developed online game was interesting and could help the players to learn skills in controlling and managing resources. |
